I'm just about keeping up to date! Yesterday's entry was about Christmas food, which was cool because I'd already taken some pictures of the cookies I'd baked on Wednesday! I've had poorly little girls all week, so it's a case of do a lot of things very quickly when they're asleep, and cuddle them when they're awake!

Dec 13th to 15th, Christmas is on it's way!
10 days to go! (actually 9, but I'm a day behind on my journal, due to a Study Day today. Work does seem to get in the way of my priorities at times! Day 13 was on Christmas music, so I put some of my favorites on the front and then journalled underneath the postcard about why In the Bleak Midwinter has my favorite verse in, sharing the true meaning of Christmas.
Day 14 was on how our family traditionally give out our presents, this being a somewhat lengthy process in my family, with the youngest giving all their presents to everyone first, and moving up in age. Bear in mind there'll be 12 adults and 4 children there on Christmas Day this year! I do love the fact that there is some control to the affair though (!), and that you get to see people's response when they open your present, and to say thank you when you open theirs.
Yesterday's prompt was about the people who we spend Christmas with, and I wrote not just about Christmas day itself, but all the other little things we have going on this year, some of which have already happened, and others in the next week. I love the sociable nature of the season!
I'm exhausted tonight due to a poorly little girl coming in and out of my bed last night, so I may leave today's entry until tomorrow. Then again, Liam is asleep on the sofa, so perhaps I'll get on with it now!!! xxx

12th December
It was fun to do today's entry, remembering Christmas in my childhood and thinking about the changes. We always used to spend Christmas with grandparents, and I don't have any left now, and we live a long way from where I grew up, so don't spend Christmas with the friends we used to see then. But my family hasn't changed, and there's now even more of us, there's still little children running around, but now they're mine and Emma's, not our siblings, and we still eat the same food and take a long time over the present-opening! The grandparents we spend Christmas with are now my girls' grandparents, not my own, but things are just as (if not more) fun! And of course, we still have the obligitary family photo, but now it's a case of using the one from March if that was the last time we managed to all get together!

Schoolgirl error!
A failure in multi-tasking - putting no.2 on Dec 3rd! The error has now been rectified!
Dec 4th entry!
Wow, using the photo as the whole page made this really quick! Probably my favorite so far.
The journalling reads: My perfect Christmas? Time with friends and family, no rushing around! I love the traditions, the same Christmas sweets and cakes, Christmas Eve carol service, stockings, putting my decorations up on December 1st, buying more for people than I meant to and watching them open it...getting up at 4.30 for the sales and wondering why we do it...I love the familiarity of being with those I love.
Dec 3rd's entry, only a day late!

Journal Your Christmas
I've done it! I've signed up for Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class, to help me focus on the joy of the season! I will try to post my entries on here each day...but mostly I'm promising to myself to enjoy the season, focus on the reason behind it, and therefore on bringing happiness to the people around me.
love 'n' hugs,

New summery photos...
I'm pleased to report that Maisie has been healing well following her burning incident - she doesn't have any bandages anymore, and her face and hands although still a bit pink are looking really good! Phew! She is a bit of a danger, that one!
The nearer it gets to my birthday the more I'm dreaming of a camera that isn't broken! Mine has now started a new trick, the whole image rolls up and down the screen sometimes, alternating with glowing flourescent colours, or the screen just going white. I can still fix it by hitting the special spot on the front, but you know, I can still keep hinting to family and Liam...
However I've still enjoyed some of the nice weather in the last week or so, and am particularly loving my lavender at the moment, despite the fact it has actually blocked the whole path down the front garden (sorry to any visitors!).

Acknowledgement!
My mum would like me to come clean and admit that all of the flowers on the slide show at the bottom, except for the bluebells and the fuschia (RIP, snapped in half in the wind one night) all live in her garden! This is true and they are very beautiful. My fuschia was beautiful and the only thing that was growing well in my little garden :-(
Anyway, it's been a bit crazy the last few days with Liam away and Maisie burning herself and ending up in A & E and pretty much all bandaged up... so the first picture is one from a few days ago before she looked beaten up!
Also a couple of pictures from yesterday afternoon with my family. Theo is now nearly 6 weeks old and gorgeous, Megan and Oliver didn't fight too much and seemed to be engrossed by Grandma's dramatic story telling, and I love the one of Megan in Joel's hat!
love 'n' hugs
