Acknowledgement!

My mum would like me to come clean and admit that all of the flowers on the slide show at the bottom, except for the bluebells and the fuschia (RIP, snapped in half in the wind one night) all live in her garden! This is true and they are very beautiful. My fuschia was beautiful and the only thing that was growing well in my little garden :-(

Anyway, it's been a bit crazy the last few days with Liam away and Maisie burning herself and ending up in A & E and pretty much all bandaged up... so the first picture is one from a few days ago before she looked beaten up!

Also a couple of pictures from yesterday afternoon with my family. Theo is now nearly 6 weeks old and gorgeous, Megan and Oliver didn't fight too much and seemed to be engrossed by Grandma's dramatic story telling, and I love the one of Megan in Joel's hat!

Flowers and Tinting!

Have been having fun with a bunch of (Fairtrade!) Sainsbury's roses. After getting pretty wet in the garden yesterday I dug out the article I knew I had somewhere (an old Scrapbook Inspirations) that explained how to tint a section of a photo in Adobe. Was pleased with the results! Am not entirely sure how restful Megan's sleep was, but she didn't seem too bothered at the time!

Shoes

Although I practically had to remortgage after our last trip to Clarks - both girls feet had grown and I needed new work shoes (they've banned Crocs), I loved their new shoes and thought maybe I'd record them (already scuffed!).

So cute!

Layouts - some old favorites

I really liked this photo of Liam that I took on holiday last summer and thought I'd do a page of just him without a small girl hanging onto him!

Changed the photo that Martha took on my
birthday last year to Sepia and made this 'grungy' layout about how it's the experiences that have made us look so tired that have brought us closer together! (Got to find a positive in looking so rough at 26!).

Maisie at about 4 months old - her eyes are still the first thing people comment on!

'A Tiny Little Girl with a Great Big Smile' - the petals around the photo have similar stitching to the flower on Maisie's dress.

A familiar sight of Liam with Megan at the bottom of the garden. This was about a year ago, but it's still her favorite place to calm down, and this is still one of my favorite layouts!

'Watch and Wonder' - Megan's first experience of kites at Ogmore last summer.

Megan at 10 months used to walk around with her hand to her ear...copying 'somone' talking on the phone :-) This and 'A Tiny Little Girl with a Great Big Smile' were two of my entries that were runners up for Scrapbooker of the Year in Scrapbook Magazine earlier this year.

Well Maisie's lobbing her food everywhere, so best go! xxx

Why join the blogging world???!

Why am I making a blog? Probably because I'm not very well, have been relieved of my children but can't sleep!

Mainly because I thought I'd start to share the hobbies that I enjoy with other people! I've been scrapbooking for 2 1/2 years now, and through that have recently completed an online photography course. I really enjoy both of these hobbies, and thought I'd start to post some of my scrapbook pages, photographs, and other crafty things I might dabble in on this blog!

Enjoy! Comments will be gratefully received!
